Detoxification

Your body is faced with a daily onslaught of toxins through dietary, lifestyle and environmental exposure. Fortunately, we have an innate ability to detoxify and the toxins we are exposed to are converted to less harmful substances that are then excreted from the body. It is important to reduce our toxic load in order to ease the burden placed on our detoxification system whilst also supporting the function of our key detox organs.

There are two sources of toxins: exogenous (external/environmental) and endogenous (made in your body).
External Toxins include: Alcohol, cigarettes, air pollution, food chemicals, herbicides & pesticides, household cleaning agents, traffic fumes, radiation and water.
Internal Toxins include: Dysbiosis (imbalance of gut bacteria), free radicals, sugar toxicity, stress and leaky gut.

Signs and Symptoms of Toxicity include: Recurrent headaches, muscle aching and weakness, recurrent infections, poor short-term memory & concentration, chronic fatigue & lethargy, anxiety and/or mood swings, sensitivity to environmental chemicals, foods and/or nutritional supplements.
